The Selection and Appointment Committee is responsible for the independent recruitment, selection and appointment of up to fifteen members to the Tribunal. This Committee is comprised of a cross-section of people committed to the selection and appointment of a diverse group of individuals who respect the principles of equality, inclusion and human rights for all in Bermuda.
The recent amendments to Bermuda’s human rights legislation mark an important step in bolstering the independence of the Human Rights Tribunal, which is designed to adjudicate human rights complaints in an impartial, independent and efficient manner.
