This Timeline reflects the extraordinary efforts of individual researchers who painstakingly unearthed and pieced together the history of Bermuda and Black Bermudians – a story omitted from, or buried within, ‘mainstream’ publications, and kept alive through personal and organisational records, oral testimony and sheer resilience. Centering and honouring the past allows us to be intentional about our vision for a just and equitable future.
